This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing company equipment and facilities.
Education, Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred, but not required.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Able to read tape measure and voltage meter. Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems. Able to read and interpret moderately complex documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc. Able to write notes or simple correspondence. Able to effectively communicate information to coworkers and managers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal. Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Heavy manufacturing with loud noise levels. Enclosed, but not air conditioned work areas. Space heaters and fans provided.
Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, walking, using hands, reaching, kneeling/crouching, and talking/hearing. Lifts/positions items weighing less than 10 lbs. more than 2/3 of time. Generally requires clear vision at close distances (for reading and inspecting) and color vision (for identifying wire color).
