Part-time, Approx. 8 – 12 hours a week working primarily Monday’s and some Friday’s. Some flexibility with work schedules/days to meet class schedules.

We are a locally owned and operated staffing agency in the Reno area.

We recognize how hard our employees work to serve our clients and help our business grow. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, team player to make sure that all our employees are paid on-time and our job boards and social media sites. This is a part-time opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to gain experience in the staffing industry.  The successful candidate will have solid computer skills, be reliable, accurate, efficient and also enjoy creative writing, blogging and a commitment to promoting best practices in human resources.

Payroll happens every week, rain or shine and all timecards must be reviewed, verified and accurately entered into the system before payroll can be processed. This requires a solid commitment to be ready every Monday morning to gather all the timecards and prepare them for our payroll processor before the end of the day.  We’ll also rely on our data entry associate to audit and scan all employee records for electronic filing. Once timecards and personnel records have been compiled and entered the data entry associate will maintain and promote our web site, job boards, social media sites and newsletters.  This part of the job will allow for creativity and original thought to create content for applicants, employees and clients.

Job Description: Data Entry Clerk

  • Verify timekeeping records and consult clients/employees about any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate employee records for payroll processing (Direct Deposit, W-2, I-9’s, Insurance forms)
  • Record timecard data in our software system and verify all time and job coding
  • Print paper checks for distribution to employees
  • Record employee complaints, questions and concerns about timecard/hours and communicate those issues to HR manager
  • Maintain compliance policies and procedures for processing payroll checks
  • Maintain job boards, blogs and social media accounts.
  • Create job descriptions, blog entries, news letters
  • Monitoring and scheduling of pre-approved posts and marketing to social media
  • Work closely with senior team in responding accurately and appropriately to social media comments;
  • Follow competitor and industry trends and write/edit content for the blog.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Experience in data entry a plus
  • Ability to process basic functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with social media/content creation a plus
  • Have a pulse on current media events, what is trending and what is popular
  • Organized and Self-motivated
  • Able to multi task in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Someone who is a team player
  • High school diploma/GED required (Pursuing a degree in related field preferred)
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn the HR and Staffing Industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Photoshop; Knowledge of Illustrator a plus

Employment Type:

Part-time – should be available to work ~8 - 12 hours per week in our Reno office primarily Monday’s and Friday’s.
